PROJECT OVERVIEW
ABOUT
The concept draws from 18th-century tea trade, when tea was heavily taxed and tightly controlled, often smuggled. This history shaped the idea of tea as something not immediately accessible, but revealed over time through context and experience. The name Masked reflects this idea of gradual visibility, where information is uncovered rather than presented all at once. This connects to aged tea itself, where time alters flavor and character, creating a slower experience that unfolds rather than appears immediately.
